Was this dream never going to end? Arian felt as though he was in some kind of bad dream, or a movie written by a man who had far too much frustration to vent out. Things were going well and he thought he was out of the woods (literally) until the sound of another engine roared behind them. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” He groaned.

The next few moments happened in such a flash it left Arian wondering if they truly happened. His truck slammed against the rails, screeching and heaving with it’s last might to stay solid on the road. The wolf hardly noticed his cousin in the seat as he tried to get them out of danger to no avail. Soon the truck slammed, shots were fired, and the black old ford rolled down the hill and into the forest.

The horn heaved from the old truck as it lay on it’s side, broken and battered with only one headlight shining into the night. Beside him the she-wolf took her last breath as Arian struggled to get out of his locked seat belt and pull her limp body out of the truck with him. By the time he had her out to the safe forest floor she was gone, and already his blue eyes had shifted to golden. The lycan didn’t have time to remove his clothes before he shifted. He was already a wolf before he could think, and running through the forest after the hunter. He too was locked in his truck, struggling to come out of the crash and he cocked his gun once he was out. Years and years of living in his animal form had taught Arian to hunt with stealth regardless of his massive size, but he only used that training to get up to the hunter unseen. There was no sport in this hunt. There was no fun chase, or exciting cat and mouse game. Within moments the great white wolf was on the man, tackling him to the ground as shots were fired. Each missed, flying up into the trees towards the night sky. The forest was somber, silent, and mourning the loss of the she-wolf as the lycan gave her revenge and tore out the hunter’s throat.

The dream was finally over. The wolf killed silently, not a snarl slipping from his powerful jaws as he went straight for the kill. He wiped his muzzle on the man’s vest but still his white fur was stained red. Appearances didn’t matter and once he was assured the hunter was dead he turned on his heel and ran back into the forest. His muzzle high as he tasted the air for her scent and quickly found the vampire in her pool of blood. Damn it and Trouble girl were the only thoughts running through his mind as he slowed to her side. A whine cried from his throat as he rushed back to the place where he’d shifted and picked up the remnants of his shirt. Gracefully he shifted into his human form as he was back at her side, moving quickly to get the limb out from her and wrapping her tightly to stop any blood flow. It was moments like these in Arian’s life where words escaped him and he resorted back to survival mode. Appearances didn’t matter, though there was blood in the facial hair down to his neck and he was naked. There he was, saving her life yet again though lost as he had no rabbit to give her now. Instead he put his wrist up to her mouth, kneeling beside her and he lifted her head gently. “Bite me.”

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Eliza couldn't move anymore, she had had just enough energy to drag herself over to a fallen tree and prop herself up. Her skin was a deadly tone of white, and all she wanted to do was close her eyes and sleep. There was nothing around for her to feed on and for the first time in her long life Eliza was frighten that this might be the end. While part of her was wishing for her end, so that she could once again be reunited with Sebastian, another part, a part that she never knew existed before, told her to hang on. For a moment it seemed as if the first one would win, as the darkness pulled roughly on her eyes lulling her to sleep gun shots awoke her.

"Arian..." that's right...Arian. The wolfman that saved her he was somewhere otu there. Somewhere righting that deranged man. Pushing herself up slowly, the scent of fresh human blood hit her like a ton of bricks instantly throwing herself into survival mode. Her eyes changed into their crimson tone, a deep snarl like sound sprang from her lips. Arian soon arrived, the mans blood was all over him, her eyes darting to the slowly drying liquid that painted his flesh. He pulled the limb from her back, her hands weakly wrapped around his arm for support. She swallowed hard what little restraint she had was slowly failing. He lifted his wrist to her mouth and his hand holding her head. He told her to bite him, her crimson eyes shot to his sparkling blue ones, she never drank from wolves. Not because she couldn't but because she in a way respected them.

She looked back down at his wrist, her preditory eyes watching the blue/green veins pump the rhythmic flow of blood through his veins. She watched it pulse steadily. But the blood didn't flow fast enough in the wrist. Grabbing hold of his arm she pulled herself up slowly groaning loudly with ever movement. What remained of her dress now hung loosely by one strap on her shoulder, exposing her black lace bra underneath. She turned to him pressing one hand firmly on his chest while her legs slowly straddled his waist. Expertly weaving her fingers through his long golden hair she tilted his head to the side and brought her fangs down onto his neck, piercing the flesh; allowing the warm blood to flow freely into her mouth. Her eyes fluttered closed. Releasing a deep moan she pulled his body closer to hers, one arm wrapped tightly around his back and the other secured in his hair. Normally she was a rough biter, digging her fangs deep into the veins to draw out the deepest darkest blood but for him she fought back her natural instincts and drank lightly her lips wrapped firmly around his neck.

His blood was rich and warm with the taste of age. From his blood she could see flashes of his life, battles, wars long fought, a time long forgotten. But Eliza wasn't paying attention to that no she was focusing on his blood, on the bones that realigned themselves and popped back into place with a snap. Her hair began to change into a healthy chestnut brown and the curls spring to life, her skin retained its elegant honey tone, the scratches and wounds along her body instantly closed without so much as a scar. After she had her fill she slowly unwound her fingers from his hair and removed her fangs. Gently licking the wound around his neck. She pulled back, her eyes shifting from their predatory red to their charming brown and for a moment the world stood still as she gazed upon the Viking she had come to know only a few hours ago.

It had been a long time since Arian killed a human. It was rare that the wolf found it in himself to do it, since he wasn’t a savage creature, but this time had been necessary. Arian wasn’t an alpha or dominant wolf by any means, he was a protector. He was a loyal warrior meant to protect whatever he saw fit or that needed it. For so long it had been his pack and, for a short time, it had been his brother-like vampire; but now it was Eliza.

There was little left in the world that unnerved the wolf. He didn’t hesitate to put his arm to her soft looking mouth, but did feel his body stiffen when she pulled herself up to his neck. Most would have pushed her away but Arian put his arms around her. Feeling her body heal and spring back to life as his wavered. He swayed slightly when she drank from him, but repositioned himself to stay solid and strong while she drank. It was just blood, it would come back after a few meals and a good night’s rest. God, how good a long rest sounded at that moment. How would he get home?

The truck was forgotten as he felt memories flash in his mind. Battles and centuries passed, but he soon let them fall back into place when Elizabetia licked his neck. He hadn’t even noticed when his eyes closed, but soon the baby blue’s opened again to look at her, relieved by her improved appearance. She had been beautiful before but now, now she was stunning. His gaze was fixed on her face and he reached up to touch it softly without a second though. She felt warmer than before with his blood refreshing her system.

Fatigue dawned on him and he knitted his brows before scooting back from her. In the blink of an eye he shifted back into his wolf form. It was a comforting place to be after such a night, but he would also heal much faster if he let the animal loose. The beautiful white and peppered grey wolf stood for a moment and watched her to make sure she would be all right before he turned to look in the direction of the fallen wolf and broken truck. There they sat in disaster’s wake, and he needed to get home to heal himself. One last time he turned back to Elizabetia and licked her hand, then turned and trotted lethargically back into the forest from which they came. A howl followed as soon as he was out of sight, and the pack howled back within the night to beckon their cousin. It would be a long time until he was home, but at least he knew there would be no more harm done tonight.

[Only admins are allowed to see this image]Eliza leaned into his touch, enjoying the feeling of his hand on her face. But as quickly as it had come it too soon left just as fast, he shifted into his wolf form, so had been so caught up in her blood lust that she had failed to notice his lack of clothing. Rising elegantly to her feet she followed after him with graceful steps. Thankful to once again be on the top of her game. However once she followed Arian to the wreckage her heart sank. It seems the female wolf still died and his truck was destroyed. Sighing heavily she ran her hands through her hair the brown ringlets bouncing slightly with every movement. "I'm so sorry." she whispered to Arian looking down at the elegant wolf by her side.

He licked her hand and ran off into the forest most likely back to his den to recooperate. Not that she could blame him he had had a very tiring day. Not that she had helped any. Gently running her hand over the fur of the deceased wolf she turned and made her way back up the hill and onto the pitch black road. The city was just over the next hill.

It was a long walk home, but soon she came upon the iron gate of her manor. Pushing open the front door she ignored the concerned looks of the servants and marched her way straight up to her room slipping off the ruined party dress as she went. Once in her room she looked at herself in the mirror, her body had healed nicely though the area where the silver bullet had hit still retained a slight discolor compared to the rest of her skin. Licking her lips she could still taste Arian's blood. She would have to figure out a way to repay him. But for now a shower and rest was required so could start tomorrow. Perhaps by then things would have blow over and gone back to normal. Though she highly doubted it.
